 Today's topic is about expensive learning English. When we study English, the balance of four things that is meaning-focused input, meaning-focused output, language-focused learning and fluency development is important. When we read and listening English, we had better read easy and interesting content. It's also effective to give pressure to ourselves like time limit during writing. In group meeting, one student said that he tried to listen to high level materials when he was third grades of high school student, but it didn't work for him. I think we need to take a lot of input through easy materials in order to build the base of English skill. 

BR④ The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

 After an hour, Tom was tired. He looked sadly at the big bucket of paint and the brush with the ling handle. Then Tom had an idea. He smiled. (p.10)

I'm going to introduce you "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer". As the title is it, Tom Sawyer of the main character has a lot of adventures in this book like painting fence, watching murder, playing pirates, and taking a picnic in cave. He lives near Mississippi river with his aunt. He doesn't like school, but he is so clever. His friend named Huck also appears and they often go adventure. I like the part of playing pirates the best in their adventures. Tom and Huck and another friends were not good with their parents, and go to island near their town. They spent some days to play pirates and catch fishes there. As you can imagine, their parents were upset and thought their children died in the river. I like their idea going back home especially. What did they do ? You can find it in this book.

Today's topic is about learner factors. It is divided to internal factor and external factor. Internal factor includes motivation, personality, intelligence, language aptitude, learning style, and starting age. External factor includes study environment, hours, and places. The personality that is suit to get second language exits, but it always isn't exact. If people spend a lot of time to study English, they can get the language even if people are in Japan. Internal factors and External factors are intertwined. MLAT we took in the class was interesting. I want to try more tests.

BR③ The House on the Hill

 Suddenly, he saw the girl. She was standing alone, looking into the water. She was young, and very beautiful. She had long dark hair, and she was wearing a pretty white dress. 

I introduce you "The House on the Hill". This is love story about young man and woman. The man's name is Paul. He just graduated from university, and enjoyed his summer vacation with the aim of becoming a news paper's editor. The woman's name is Maria. She lives in the house on the hill, and her family is rich. They encountered near the river, and Paul proposed marriage to her. However, she rejected it because she was going to get married to other rich man. On the other hand, Paul decided to apply for novel contest to try his ability. By this decision, the story developed greatly. This story advanced at a good tempo with easy English. If you have an interest, please read it.

 Today's topic is about influence by mother tongue. All baby can recognize any voice at first, but they come to choice more important things gradually. Transition has both good and bad influence. For example, when the distance between mother tongue and second language are close, people can be influenced by better transition than opposite situation. In group meeting, it was interesting to listen to their experience about transition. I wanted to study French and German when I listen to their talking. 

BR② The Trumpet-Major

 In the summer, King George and his family came to Budmouth again. John Loveday's regiment came with them. John visited Overcombe Mill often. Soon, he understood something - Anne Garland was in love with his brother, Robert. And soon, Robert told him about it. (p.40)

You may not imagine from this title, but this is love story among three people. The time is in early of 19 century, England and France fought each other for a long time. The main character is two brother. One is John Loveday, he is a soldier in dragoon regiment and trumpet-major. Other is Robert Loveday, he is a sailor on trading-ship. The other main character is Anne Garland. She is young and beautiful woman, so John fell in love with her.　Anne was attracted to his little brother, Robert. And Robert was supposed to get married to other woman. They got into war without conveying their feelings. What is their destiny will be? Who do you think Anne will get married with? You can enjoy this love story with easy English.

 Today's topic is about motivation. It has many kinds of patterns like comprehensive motivation and instrumental motivation. It always have been influenced by around environment, and it's not constant. If we have only one reason to study, the motivation is easy to change. I tend to rely on my weak motivation,  so as Yoshii teacher said, I try to make a study habit that suits me everyday. 

BR① Superbird

 I could hear them clearly. But the sounds were strange. The words were not the same as ours. The brown-haired one was very loud. The yellow-haired one was quieter, saying something like 'sir'. Over and over. (p.10)

I'm going to introduce you "Superbird". I think it is unique and different from other books. I give two different points. Firstly, the main character is not human beings but alien. I thought this was a story that humans arrived at other planet, but it wasn't true. The main character is alien, and human beings and dogs are expressed as "the brown-haired one" and "the four-legged one". This is interesting for me. I couldn't guess what' going to happen next, so I feel thrilled during reading. Secondly, the story expands in radio interview style. It is the most different point from others. The questioner ask many questions properly, so readers can follow the story easily. As these points, you'll enjoy the different taste in this book. Please check it.
