England

There are grreen hills, quiet little villages, long beaches, beautiful old churched, and English gardens. And there are exciting big cities with great food, shops, and music. You can see a shakespeare play, or listen to great music twenty-four hours a day with thousands of other people. Yes, England is a very beautiful country. But who are the English....? (p.1)

 The book is written about England such as history, buildings, food, and sports.  Do you have an interest how 'England' was named? It's an old story from long time ago. In fifth and sixth centries, the Angle and Saxson people came the place from Europe and they called it Angle-land. And then, Angle-land changed 'England'. From the nineteenth century, many people from various countries such as Ireland, Eastern Europe, and Vietnam began to come to England and stay seeking for works, being with their family, and better life.  They took their culture with them. So Englnd has every part of the world. Next, I'll introduce you main big cities. First city is Lodon. It’s a capital city of Englandnd. Many tourists visit here at first because it has many traditional buildings, for example, the tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, and Backingham Palace. Backlingham Palace is the Queen's  London home. When you can see flag in front of the buiding, it shows Queen is staying. You can enjoy the Changing of the Guard here. A lot of guards with red best and black hat will make us assosiate fairy tale. Seond city is Birmingham. It is the biggest city after London. The city used to be called 'the workplace of the world'. People generated many things from cars and chocolate here. Now, it is famous for music, art, and shopping. If you want to know more about Birmingham, you should go to Birmingham Museum and Art Gallaty in Chamberlain Square. You can learn more detail about the city.
 The book also has beutiful pictures, so you'll surely want to go to England like me after reading it.  The book enables us to spread the wide of knowledge about the country. England is absolutely different from Japan such as history, building constraction, and landscape. So every culture of  England is fresh and interesting for me.  If you are interested in England, I recommend you the book. It'll bring you into England world!

What do you think of when you hear the word "Hollywood"? Do you think of wonderful films like Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Titanic, or Gone with the Wind? Perhaps you remember the Hollywood sign in the big letters in the hills ors you think of famous roads like Sunset Boulevard or Hollywood Boulevard. (p.1)

  This book explains about the history of Hollywood with movies.  Hollywood is  a part of Los Angeles and there are  many cars and shops and rich people now, but in the past, it was just a village and there was nothing there. The village was liked by many people because of the quiet and many green trees. The amount of the people who came to be interested in the place and live there increased gradually. The movie industry started in the late 19 century. Many film makers thought Hollywood is good place. They opened their movie stadio another to another and they produced premier movies that have been well-known even now. For example, The Jazz Singer with actor Al Joloson's voice.  It changed the formor silent movies. By 1970, there was only Paramount Pictures in Hollywood that became one of big six after that. Yong and new directors like George Lucas and Steven Spielberg came to Hollywood. George Lucas took special effects called "computer-generated imagery" or CGI into his movie, Star Wars for the first time. In 1990s, "multiplex" that has a lot of rooms and can show more than one film at once came up in Hollywood. Because of this, movie theater could inclose 9,200 people. New digital technology was a important part of movie history. In 1950, many homes began to have the television, so film stadio began to make TV shows. In 1990s, people stopped watching video and started buying DVD. People could watch more beutiful pictures from DVD. In the early years of the twenty-first century, film companies began to use 3D pictures. Every year in late February, the Oscar ceremony is held and many acter and actress wearing beatuful suit and dress collect in Hullywood. Recently, some people watch movies on their TV or smartphone, and it is sometimes free. This problem is serious for movie industry, but film studio isn't going to stop because Hollywood has a longhistory and wonderful story of nice actors and directors.
  I like watching moves, but I've never thought what is the Hollywood before. I learned a lot about Hollywood movies from the book. I was surprised to know that  Hollywood used to be a village and has a long history. I want to watch their movies on the basis of the story.
