BR⑧ The Escape and Other Stories

 I'm going to introduce you "The Escape and Other Stories". This book has four short stories, The Escape, Loise, The Ant and The Grasshopper, and The Fall of Barnard. I'd like to show you the first short story. The main character is Roger Charing. He was handsome and rich man, so he was liked by many woman. He'd never got married to the woman before. He rather run away from many woman inspite of his perfect element. Suddenly he decided to engage to marry one woman, named Ruth. Ruth is also beautiful and perfect woman, and she'd had a lot of boyfriends before. However, Roger changed his mind due to the small things. When he canceled the engagement, he had to pay a lot of money to Ruth. He usd his wit, he could get oer the pinch at the last. You will feel various wits and irony from these four stories.
